Do you sometimes feel stressed out, anxious or depressed?
If you feel you need some help, imagine what your child might be feeling and not able to communicate.
Children generally do not talk about their problems or seek help on their own. Their emotional issues might be reflected in how they act out at home or school. If you sense they are having some problems that they are struggling to cope with, it might be best to have them talk to someone with experience in getting children to communicate about what’s affecting them.
I have worked directly with more than 1000+ children and adolescents at various settings, including home, school, and my play room office for kids.
Both parents are invited to the first session because it’s important I understand the family history, the status of the marital relationship and get a good sense of the home environment. I also want to know your child’s relationship with both parents, siblings, and his/her peers. You are the key in assisting me to get to know your child in the beginning. This isn’t just about solving your child’s “problems,” it’s about assessing their strengths and weaknesses so that we can find out why they are reacting to their environment the way that they are.
A weekly session is scheduled for your child after our first session together. Since children generally do not talk about their problems like adults, I use play and art as mediators to assist the children freely express themselves. I’m always amazed by the progress a child achieves in therapy sessions. I think you will be too.
Appointments can be scheduled between 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
